Care Groups
Care Groups are provided for all those who regularly attend Jubilee. These groups are organized geographically and assigned both an elder and a deacon. Annual home visits and home care are provided by elders and their care groups.
PASTORATE
The Pastorate is called specifically to the task of extending pastoral care in our midst. We currently have 9 Care Groups, each having a pastoral elder. In addition we have two pastoral elders who attend to the pastoral needs of our young adults. Annual home visits, immediate pastoral concerns and home care (meals) are looked after by the pastoral care elders. Pastorate meetings consist of a time of small group sharing and include a time for spiritual growth and development. In the coming months we will be continuing our discussion of the most effective way to extend pastoral care in our midst.
DIACONATE
The Diaconate is called to the task of caring for our congregation and broader community in more tangible ways. Each of our 9 care groups is assigned a deacon to look after any financial or other related needs. The Diaconate administers the benevolence fund and sets the offering schedule. It also works in conjunction with the Refugee Committee. We are blessed with a hard-working, task-oriented Diaconate.
